Online counseling across Texas · Serving Fort Worth, Keller, Grapevine & Southlake
When life feels heavy, or you are not sure what to do next, individual counseling gives you room to say what you are feeling and make sense of it. I have worked with individuals for more than 35 years.
Adults and teens ages 13 and older. People come to me for anxiety, depression, grief, the effects of abuse, and the stress of big changes in work, family or health. Some arrive in a hard season and others simply feel stuck.
You do not need a crisis to begin. If you are wondering whether counseling could help, it is a good time to reach out.
We begin with a conversation about what brought you in and what you hope will change. From there, sessions give you space to express your fears, concerns and emotions, and to understand your behaviors and reactions.
I do not make decisions for you. My role is to help you gain the insight you need to make positive changes yourself. Many clients meet weekly at first, then less often as things improve.
Individual counseling is helpful when you are going through a difficult time and are not sure what to do. I provide counseling specific to your situation, whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, grief or the aftermath of abuse.
Learning how to handle stressful situations, rather than hiding your emotions, is one of the most useful things therapy can offer. If your faith is important to you, I am glad to include it, and you can read more about Christian counseling. If a family member or couple relationship is part of what you are facing, I also offer marriage and couples counseling and family counseling.
Counseling is not for emergencies. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 or dial 911.
I am based in Fort Worth, and online sessions are also available, so you can meet from home anywhere in Texas. Sessions are 60 minutes. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S), licensed since 1990.

People come to me for anxiety, depression, grief, abuse, life changes and other difficult times. You will have room to express your fears, concerns and emotions, and to gain the insight you need to make positive changes.
Counseling is private. What you share stays between us, with limited exceptions required by law, such as a risk of serious harm to yourself or someone else, or abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult. We will go over this together at the start.
It depends on what you are working on and what you want to change. Some people come for a few sessions to work through a specific situation, and others meet regularly over a longer period. Sessions are 60 minutes, and we check in along the way about whether it is helping.
That is very common. You do not need an agenda or a clear problem to begin. We can start with what brought you in, what feels heavy right now, or what you wish were different, and go from there.
You don’t have to have it all figured out to reach out. A free 15-minute call is a no-pressure way to see if we are a good fit.
