Signs you might notice

You are adjusting to a move, a job change, retirement or an empty nest
A relationship or role you counted on has changed
You feel unsure about who you are or what comes next
You are making a big decision and cannot see the right answer
Change you wanted still feels harder than you expected

How I can help

Even good changes can be stressful. We start by naming what is shifting and what it means to you, including what you are leaving behind as well as what is ahead.

From there I help you sort out your values, weigh your options and take steps at a pace that feels manageable. We also look at how the people close to you are affected, because transitions rarely happen to one person alone.

When to reach out

You do not need to wait until you feel stuck. Many people come while a change is underway, and others when it has settled and they are still not sure how they feel.

Counseling that can help

When the same argument keeps coming back, or the two of you have started to feel like roommates, counseling gives you a calmer place to talk and new ways to reconnect. I have helped couples do that for more than 35 years.

When life feels heavy, or you are not sure what to do next, individual counseling gives you room to say what you are feeling and make sense of it. I have worked with individuals for more than 35 years.

When conflict, stress or a big change leaves your family feeling pulled apart, counseling gives everyone a calmer place to talk and listen. I have worked with families for more than 35 years.

If your faith is part of who you are, it can be part of your counseling too. I bring the same professional care to every client and welcome faith into the conversation when you want it there.

Approaches I draw on

Exploring meaning, choice and what matters in your life.

A warm, accepting space where you set the direction.

Building on what is going well, and on your strengths.

Starting with what you do well and building from there.
