You served. Now let's make sure you have support too

Service and the return to civilian life can leave you carrying things that are hard to share. Counseling offers a private place to talk and to find your footing.

Signs you might notice

Coming home or leaving service has been harder than you expected
You feel on edge, angry or shut down
Your relationships have suffered since you returned
You carry memories or losses you have not talked about
You are not sure where you fit now
You love someone who served, and the strain is showing up at home

How I can help

You do not have to explain everything on the first day. We go at your pace, starting with what is weighing on you now and what you want to change.

I was an Army wife, so I know that service affects the whole family, not only the person who wore the uniform. I help with stress, relationships and the adjustment to civilian life, and I am glad to include a spouse or family member. If you need specialized trauma treatment, I will help you find the right resource.

When to reach out

You are welcome whenever you are ready, whether you served recently or long ago. If you are a veteran in crisis, call or text 988 and press 1, or call 911 in an emergency.

Counseling that can help

When life feels heavy, or you are not sure what to do next, individual counseling gives you room to say what you are feeling and make sense of it. I have worked with individuals for more than 35 years.

Approaches I draw on

Practical tools for changing thoughts and habits that keep you stuck.

Making room for hard feelings while moving toward what matters to you.

Paying attention to the present moment to reduce worry and low mood.

Support that recognizes how painful experiences affect you now.
