Online counseling across Texas · Serving Fort Worth, Keller, Grapevine & Southlake
Constant worry, a racing mind and a tight chest are exhausting. Counseling gives you a calm place to understand what is driving the anxiety and practical ways to ease it.
Anxiety is common and it is treatable. In counseling we start by understanding when and why your anxiety shows up, and what it is trying to protect you from.
From there I help you build tools you can use right away, such as slowing your breathing, noticing and questioning anxious thoughts, and facing avoided situations at a pace you can manage. We also look at the relationships, responsibilities and history that may be feeding the worry.
The goal is not to get rid of every anxious moment. It is to help you feel steadier, sleep better and get back to the things that matter to you.
You do not need to wait until anxiety becomes unmanageable. If worry is affecting your sleep, your work, your relationships or your health, it is a good time to talk with someone. If you are ever in immediate danger, call 911, and if you are in crisis, call or text 988.
When life feels heavy, or you are not sure what to do next, individual counseling gives you room to say what you are feeling and make sense of it. I have worked with individuals for more than 35 years.
No one plans to struggle with chemical dependency, alcohol abuse or drug abuse, and it can happen to anyone. Counseling can be a first step toward sobriety and a life that feels like yours again. I have worked with people in recovery and their families for more than 35 years.
If your faith is part of who you are, it can be part of your counseling too. I bring the same professional care to every client and welcome faith into the conversation when you want it there.
Practical tools for changing thoughts and habits that keep you stuck.
Making room for hard feelings while moving toward what matters to you.
Paying attention to the present moment to reduce worry and low mood.
Some common signs include: you worry about things much of the day and find it hard to switch off; your body is tense, your heart races or you struggle to sleep; you avoid situations because of what might go wrong; you feel on edge, irritable or overwhelmed by ordinary demands; worry about work, family or health is crowding out everything else.
If any of this sounds familiar, you do not have to wait until things get worse to ask for support.
Sessions are 60 minutes, and the fee is $200 per session.
