What it is

Structural family therapy looks at how a family is organized, including who has authority, how close or distant members are and where the boundaries are. Problems often come from structure that no longer fits.

What a session looks like

We watch how the family interacts in session and work on clear roles, healthy boundaries and parents working as a team. Parents and teens are both involved.

Who it can help

Families with teens, blended families, single-parent households and families with a child acting out.

About my training

In my work I draw on ideas from Structural Family Therapy, along with other methods suited to each person.
