Can I come to counseling if a family member is the one struggling with addiction?
Yes. Addiction affects the whole family, and family members are welcome to come on their own or together. We can talk about boundaries, communication and how to take care of yourself while supporting someone you love.
Do I need to stop using before I begin counseling for addiction?
You do not need to have everything figured out before you reach out. We start where you are and talk about what you want to change. If you need medical support, such as for withdrawal, I will help you find the right resources.
Do you offer addiction counseling?
Yes. I offer chemical dependency counseling, including alcohol abuse counseling and drug abuse counseling, and counseling for other addictions, for the person struggling and for the family members affected. Counseling can be a first step toward recovery.
