What is Internal Family Systems (IFS)?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an approach that sees each of us as made up of different inner parts, such as a critic, a worrier or a protector, along with a core Self that can lead with calm and compassion. Problems often come from parts that are stuck in extreme roles.
What happens in a counseling session that draws on Internal Family Systems (IFS)?
Sessions are curious and gentle. We notice the parts of you that show up around a problem, get to know what each is trying to do for you, and help them relax so you can respond from a steadier place.
Who can benefit from Internal Family Systems (IFS)?
People who feel pulled in different directions, are very self-critical, struggle with anxiety or old hurts, or want a kinder relationship with themselves.
