What is Family Systems Therapy?
Family Systems Therapy views a person’s struggles as part of the larger family system. Roles, rules, alliances and patterns passed down through generations shape how everyone behaves, so change in one person affects the rest.
What happens in a counseling session that draws on Family Systems Therapy?
We look at how your family communicates, who takes which role, and what patterns repeat. Sessions may include the whole family or a few members, and we map the patterns together so each person can see their part and try something new.
Who can benefit from Family Systems Therapy?
Families in conflict, blended families, families adjusting to illness, divorce or loss, and individuals who want to understand how their family shaped them.
How much does a session cost?
Sessions are 60 minutes, and the fee is $200 per session.
