What is Emotionally Focused Therapy?
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is an approach to couples counseling built on the idea that our closest relationships are about emotional connection and security. It looks at the cycle a couple gets stuck in, such as one partner pursuing and the other withdrawing, and at the feelings underneath it.
What happens in a counseling session that draws on Emotionally Focused Therapy?
Sessions are unhurried and focused on what is happening between you. I help each of you slow down, name what you are really feeling and need, and say it in a way your partner can hear. Over time the old argument loses its grip and closeness becomes easier.
Who can benefit from Emotionally Focused Therapy?
Couples caught in repeating arguments, feeling distant or lonely together, or recovering from a breach of trust. It can help partners at any stage of marriage.
How much does a session cost?
Sessions are 60 minutes, and the fee is $200 per session.
Do you take insurance?
No. I do not take insurance. My practice is private pay.
Do you offer a free consultation?

Do you offer online sessions?
Yes. Online sessions are also available by secure video, so you can meet with me from home or another private place anywhere in Texas.
