This policy explains what information this website collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only. It does not describe how counseling records are handled. Those are covered separately, and I will give you that information when we begin working together.
The short version
- I collect only what you choose to send me, plus basic technical information that every website receives.
- I do not sell your information, and I do not use it for advertising.
- Please do not send private health details through the contact form or by email. Call me instead.
Who I am
This website is operated by Suzanne Foley, M.Ed., LMFT, LPC-S, a counseling practice serving Fort Worth, Texas, with online sessions also available across Texas. You can reach me at [email protected] or 806-786-9252.
Information I collect
What you send me. If you use the contact form, I receive your name, email address, phone number, the message you write, and whether you checked the box agreeing to be contacted. If you email or call me, I receive whatever you share.
Technical information. Like most websites, this one and its hosting provider record basic details such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and the page that referred you. This helps keep the site working and secure.
Please keep health details out of forms and email
The contact form and regular email are not a secure way to share private health information. Please use the form only to tell me how to reach you and, in general terms, what you are looking for. We can talk through the details by phone or in a session.
How I use your information
- To respond to your message and schedule a call or appointment.
- To keep the website running, secure and easy to use.
- To meet legal obligations when required.
I do not send newsletters or marketing messages through this website, and I do not use your information for advertising.
Who else may handle it
I use trusted service providers to run the site and deliver messages, such as my website host and email service. They handle information only to provide those services. Reviews shown on this site are loaded from Google, which means Google may receive basic technical information from your browser when those reviews display. I may also use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to understand how the site is used, in which case Google receives limited usage information. I do not sell your information.
Cookies
This site uses only the cookies and similar technology needed for it to work and, if analytics are turned on, to understand general usage. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings.
How long I keep it
Messages you send through this website are kept only as long as needed to respond and for ordinary record-keeping. You can ask me to delete a message you sent, and I will do so unless I am required to keep it. Counseling records are kept according to the rules that apply to licensed professionals in Texas.
Security
I take reasonable steps to protect the site and the information it receives, including using a secure (HTTPS) connection. No website or email is completely secure, which is another reason to keep sensitive details for a phone call or a session.
Children
This website is meant for adults, including parents and guardians looking for help for a child or family. I do not knowingly collect information from children through this site. If you believe a child has sent information, please contact me and I will delete it.
Your choices
You may ask what information I have received from you, ask me to correct or delete it, or ask me to stop contacting you. Email or call me using the details above and I will respond as soon as I can.
If you are in crisis
This website and my contact form are not monitored for emergencies. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or dial 911.
Changes to this policy
If I change how this site handles information, I will update this page and the date at the top.
